“Managing Challenging Behaviour” is a practical, evidence-informed workshop designed to help caregivers, educators and support professionals understand the function, context and underlying needs behind behavioural challenges. The workshop explores behaviour through a compassionate, strengths-based and neurodiversity-aware lens, focusing on environmental factors, communication differences, regulation, and skill-development rather than punishment or control. Participants will learn proactive prevention strategies, safe and supportive response approaches, and recovery and repair practices that promote dignity, safety and emotional wellbeing. Across the four hours, the workshop emphasises real-world application, collaborative problem-solving and sustainable behaviour support that benefits both the individual and their support network.
